Cala Galdana Hotel
Opinion
Particularly large classy establishment in possibly the best location in the resort and spread over a large central site. Huge roomy lounges and dining areas and a full programme of daily entertainment on offer. The style and facilities are more geared to adults rather than children, although linked apartment accommodation and the location is fine for families.
The pool area can get quite crowded and is a little cramped especially as its shared by the two types of accommodation. However, the large sandy beach is just across the road so really should not present a problem here. The Villas d' Aljandar apartments in the same grounds adjacent are essentially part of the hotel and share all the facilities.
For the more adventurous, active guests seeking more solitude, a couple of marked walking trails lead to two secluded beaches.
Exterior
Prominent wide rectangular accommodation block on 7-storeys with a 2-storey entrance section in front. Conical canopied entrance walkway with armchairs and sofas available for some strange reason! Protruding metal-railing balconies or terraces are on all rooms.

Large separate lounge in an attractive colour theme with leather armchairs which also doubles as an entertainments room. 1st-floor buffet restaurant with wood beams and three terrace sections outside.

Wood decked pool terrace in front of the building just above the street. An entertainment stage is in one corner and two further slightly raised terraces offer more sunbathing space. Location
Area Type: Occupying a prime position in the resort on the main street by the roundabout and just off the main bridge that connects the north and south parts of the resort. The main concentration of shops, restaurants and bars is just along the street. A bus stop for other towns and beaches is directly opposite as is a large public car park.
