Fiesta Hotel Castell Playa

Despite the less-than-attractive monstrosity of an exterior first impression, this is a very well-appointed establishment enjoying super views from its spacious interior facilities and forward facing terraces. All rather crammed in around the pool but there is open countryside to the rear which reduces the effect somewhat.



Used exclusively for the mature guests of a major UK tour operator with not a screaming child in sight! The full programme of entertainments reflects the type of guests here. A free courtesy bus avoids the short steep hike back up from the sandy beach below and it is especially enjoyable smiling out of the bus at the guests of other properties plodding up the hill!



For those looking to find any local interest a car or the local bus would be required to go to the fishing village of Fornells or the capital, Mahon.

Polished patterned marble central interior and lobby with a trendy raised lounge bar with white leather seating. 1st-floor lounge bar, entertainments stage and a buffet restaurant all with far reaching views out to sea. By the pool is a further Mexican exterior and an a la carte restaurant.

Grounds

Tiled pool terrace behind the property with a stone snack bar, a corner entertainment stage and a few raised stone-fronted extra sunbathing terraces to one side, one with double private sunlounger beds. Trees surround the grounds and rocks add a natural look to the beach-access pool.

Area Type: In an elevated spot on a side street above the main resort road with fine views across the headland and to the sea. Well-kept private low-rise residences are in the vicinity and a small selection of tourist shops and bars just along the street. A bus stops 50 yds away for larger towns Mahon, Mercadal and Fornells.
